Wildlife and Tidal Rapids Tour

Not to be missed! Get an up-close look at the awesome power of Mother Nature through some of the most exciting and turbulent tidal action in the world in passages such as Hole in the Wall and Surge Narrows. Whales, bears, eagles, sea birds, sea lions, porpoises and so much more can be seen on this tour of the area.

This trip includes a stop in the isolated seaside community of Big Bay on Stuart Island at the mouth of glacial-fed Bute Inlet for a delightful lunch or the oceanside pub at the historic gold mining community of Shoal Bay on East Thurlow Island, and opportunities for a short hike to refreshing Eagle Lake or 100 year old mine shafts in the mountainside. Or take it easy with a picnic on the beach!

Desolation Sound Tour

Explore the renowned beauty of Desolation Sound, Canada’s largest marine park and it’s many islets and hiking opportunities.  Visit the scenic hillside community of Refuge Cove on West Redonda Island, see the beautiful Cascade Falls as it plummets into the ocean or enter the hidden confines of Roscoe Bay.  There is plenty of opportunity for warm freshwater or ocean swimming throughout the day.

 Along the way, make a stop at Mittlenatch Island in the middle of the Salish Sea (Georgia Strait) to visit the tiny rock outpost of an island where birds rule the roost. An amazing array of sea birds, seals, raucous sea lions, porpoise, cactus and more inhabit this windswept wildlife refuge.

Evening Dinner Cruise

A sunset boating cruise upon the glassy summer waters of Georgia Strait.  Bring your own dinner or allow me to set up a meal through one of Campbell River’s fine dining establishments.  Choose to dine aboard the Morningstar or on a secluded beach nestled on one of the islands.  A perfect way for you to leave the rest of the world behind for a while.

2-3 hours, price variable depending upon destination chosen (as low as $200 total).
