The Morningstar is capable of transporting 1500 lbs. of payload. That allows for two to four kayaks + people and gear, five mountain bikes, or whatever else you have in mind. Passenger capacity is 6.

Discovery Islands Archipelago south to Desolation Sound.
This includes West and East Thurlow, Sonora, Quadra, Cortes, Maurelle, Read, Stuart, East and West Redonda, Hernando and Savary Islands, Bute and Toba Inlets, Phillips, Frederick and Ramsey Arms, and of course Desolation Sound.
Mountain Bikes
A vast array of cycling options is available. For those who have the stamina, the allure of the truly imposing Coast Mountains and their network of old logging roads through otherwise inaccessible areas is appealing. Those on a budget might consider a one-way trip to a secluded wharf on Cortes Island where you can explore the many wonders and beaches before catching a ferry (return trips are free on BC Ferries smaller routes) to explore the many wonders and beaches on Quadra Island before catching the ferry back (again, no charge) to Campbell River.
Do it in a day or take more time to enjoy the campsites or bed and breakfasts and the laid-back island lifestyle. Many other unique and exciting opportunities exist for taking your cycling trip to a whole different level of adventure.
Kayaks
The Morningstar will whisk you away to one of the region’s famed marine parks for your kayaking adventure. The protected waters of Desolation Sound, Octopus Islands, Pendrell Sound, or Thurston Bay will fascinate all skill levels, from beginner to advanced.
There are also opportunities for the more advanced paddler to experience the thrilling tidal action that pours through the Discovery Passage daily. Camping opportunities abound throughout the area.
